Episode Transcription

I’m not gonna lie to you, it has truly been such a long time since I have last found myself recording an episode of All for Him. There were a lot of times that I started to record an episode and before I could even finish, something felt off so I never published.

This last semester has tested me in ways that I have never before experienced. I have never been so stressed, so pushed, and so challenged before in my life. From life to school to seriously everything in between, I have been through trials and I have been through the fire (and I wasn’t burned).

After all that this semester has held, let me say this very clear… Jesus was with me, He continues to be with me, and not once did He ever leave me. He has taught me so much these last few months, and I can’t wait to share some of what He has showed me.

With that said, I wrote a journal entry towards the beginning of the semester in September and I want to share with you an except of what I wrote to myself about the circumstances of life:

[OPEN QUOTE] Somethings are too perfect. Somethings are too coincidental to have ever been an accident. I try (sometimes I struggle) to view everything that happens in life from a perspective of not “why is this happening to me,” but “why am I here in this situation.”

Time and time again, God has proven Himself to be faithful to me. He has proved that He is sovereign over timing. He has proven to me that He is sovereign over my life. I know that He reigns over it, and He has a plan, and that He is good in all that He does. He works all things for my good. [CLOSE QUOTE]

I don’t know where you are right now or what you are going through, but as I open God’s Word in just a second… I want you to fully understand and take on the magnitude of these words.

In the book of Romans, chapter 8, verse 28, this is what God’s Word says:

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” — Romans 8:28

Both the good and the bad, the thick and the thin, the moments of understanding and the moments of confusion, the hills and the valleys, God works all things for the good of those who love him. Even as we endure the trials that we must, He is still working. Not just some things, but all things.

The Enduring Word Commentary says that:

[OPEN QUOTE] “God is able to work all things, not [just] some things. He works them for good together, not in isolation. This promise is for those who love God in the Biblical understanding of love, and God manages the affairs of our life because we are called according to His purpose.” [CLOSE QUOTE]

I want you to know, Jesus is LORD. He reigns, He is good, and “and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Have a great day!
