Today’s verse of the day is SO so good: James 1, verses 2 and 3:

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” — James 1:2-3

At times, life can get chaotic, it can get messy. It can get hard. It can get out of control. It can be overwhelming.

But can I tell you about God?

• He is good.
• He is the Prince of Peace. He provides a peace that goes beyond understanding. One that this world can’t give, and therefore it can’t take away.
• He is the King of kings. He is the LORD of lords. All must bow to His Name.

“My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, consider it pure joy because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

You can walk in broken and come out of the face smiling with pure joy because you made “more of Him and less of you.” You can know that is a purpose in your pain, that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

As said by Shawn Johnson, the pastor of Red Rocks Church: “you’re gonna kiss this fire and walk away whistling.”Know this, the trial can’t steal that God given peace, that pure joy, from you...

I don’t know what your life might be like right now, I don’t know what today, or this week, has been like for you. But I do know who Jesus is… Run to Him, find shelter in the hands of the Almighty, find r-e-a-l REST.
