Episode Transcription

Today’s Verse of the Day comes from the book of Psalms, chapter 40, verse 5, which reads:

“Many, LORD my God, are the wonders You have done, the things You planned for us. None can compare with You; were I to speak and tell of Your deeds, they would be too many to declare.” — Psalms 40:5

I got two thoughts for you today and I am just going to put the pebble in your shoe but really, take a few minutes throughout today just to see and reflect how true these statements are over your life.

He has done many wonders, too many to declare.

We serve such a good God. Whether you realize it or not, He has a plan and a purpose for everything in your life. It’s breathtaking to the extent that we cannot fully understand all that He has done for us and all that He has planned for us. His deeds would be too many to declare. As David said in this Psalm, they can’t be numbered.

As you go throughout your day today, just think about this. If you seek Him, you are going to find Him. As I daily tell myself and as I am about to tell you, today you will see the faithfulness of the LORD. Look for Him, and you will find Him.

Secondly, nothing else compares to Him.

He needs to be priority number one in your life. School shouldn’t come before Him. Your job shouldn’t come before Him. Your money shouldn’t come before Him. He needs to be first. Why? Simply put, nothing of this earth compares to Him. Period.

When you walk away from this earth and you are standing in His in presence, He is not going to ask you what your GPA is. He isn’t going to ask how much overtime you worked. Nothing else compares to Him.

I am not saying don’t care and not to faithfully do the job in front of you, but I am saying don’t let it take priority over Him. Truly, nothing else is more important.

Today, just reflect on where He is placed on your list of priorities. Again I will say, don’t let anything come before Him.

Closing.

To close, He has done many wonders, too many to declare. Nothing else compares to Him, and therefore don’t let anything else come before Him. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

To be honest, the first thing that I am going to do tomorrow morning after I wake is listen to this episode of the All for Him Podcast and right after, I am going to worship my King and I invite you to do the same. I plan on screaming Christ be Magnified by Cody Carnes and I will link to it in the show notes if you want to do the same.

In all that you do, make Christ be known. Y’all have a great day!
